The 9th Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Power Industry Summit held in Macau

On 8-10 July 2019, the 9th Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Power Industry Summit was held in Macao. Sponsored by Companhia de Electricidade de Macau, the summit was themed “A New Start for New Development – Providing Clean, Low-carbon, Secure and Efficient Power Supply for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”. At the event, the top management representatives of four power utilities from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao made their speeches, and participating experts and guests were invited to share their in-depth insights of topics such as “Transformation of the U.S. Power Sector to Combat Climate Change”, “Responsible and High-quality Promotion of the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Together” and “Research on Medium- and Long-term Power Development Plan of CSG in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”.

Inaugurated in 2011, the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Power Industry Summit embraced its 9th birthday this year. The high-level communication and liaison mechanism plays an important role in establishing mechanisms for communication and coordination of power grid plans in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, cooperation on interconnected power grids, integrated disaster prevention and mitigation & emergency response, exchange on business investment and operation, promoting power industry development and cooperation, and collaboratively supporting the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
