On 22 November 2019, Managing Director – China of CLP Holdings Limited Mr Chan Siu Hung joined the “International Seminar on China’s Zero-carbon Energy Transition & China 2050: A Fully Developed Zero-carbon Modern Economy” hosted by the Energy Transitions Commission (ETC) in Beijing, and also attended the high-level talk on “Perspectives and actions for China’s zero-carbon future: supply side energy transition”.
At the event, Mr Chan exchaged with ETC Chairman Lord Adair Turner, Auke Lont, Chairman and CEO of Statkraft SF, Jules Kortenhorst, CEO of Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), as well as scholars from the Development Research Centre (DRC) of the State Council and Tsinghua University on such topics as energy transition and addressing climate change. At the high-level talk session, Mr Chan made a focused presentation on CLP’s Climate Vision 2050 and the low-carbon development strategies and actions in the Asian-Pacific region, and also discussed the opportunities and challenges in the supply side energy transition with the experts from Shell, BP and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF).
