Managing Director – China Mr Chan Siu Hung meets with Vice Chairman Mr Yang Jinbai of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

On 3 September 2019, Managing Director – China of CLP Holdings Limited Mr Chan Siu Hung met with Mr Yang Jinbai, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Mr Chan presented the business performance of CLP Group and CLP China in the first half of 2019, and gave a detailed introduction of the developments of Guangxi Fangchenggang Power Station. He also thanked Guangxi provincial government for strong supports to CLP’s investments and development in Guangxi, so that CLP took part in such businesses as electricity trading and incremental power distribution in Guangxi. CLP would continuously keep an eye on Guangxi’s developments and vigorously participate in all services CLP operates.

Mr Chan also shared CLP’s three-year charity program launched in Guangxi this year, which was designed to help with the education and community welfare in Guangxi’s poverty-stricken areas. He introduced the related arrangements and progresses of this program.
Vice Chairman Yang highly appreciated CLP’s development and efforts to fulfil its social responsibility commitments in Guangxi, and indicated that the Guangxi government would provide ongoing supports to CLP’s operations in Guangxi.
