CLP Group Director Mr Philip Kadoorie invited by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of the State Council to attend the National Day Reception in Celebrating the 70th Founding Anniversary of PRC

As required by Managing Director – China of CLP Holdings Limited Mr Chan Siu Hung and through efforts of RHO, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of the State Council specially invited CLP Group Director Mr Philip Kadoorie to attend the National Day Reception Celebrating the 70th Founding Anniversary of PRC, and the invitation letter was signed by President Xi Jinping.

At the evening of 30 September 2019, the National Day Reception Celebrating the 70th Founding Anniversary of PRC was held in the Great Hall of the People. The banquet hall was resplendent with beautiful lights and flowers, creating a warm and jubilant festival atmosphere. The solemn national emblem hung high above rostrum, and the “1949-2019” sign especially stood out against the national flag of China.

Mr Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, State President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission made a keynote speech at the reception hosted by Premier Li Keqiang. In that evening, Party and state leaders, including Mr Xi Jinping, Mr Li Keqiang, Mr Li Zhanshu, Mr Wang Yang, Mr Wang Huning, Mr Zhao Leji, Mr Han Zheng and Mr Wang Qishan, and over 4,000 Chinese and foreign celebrities got together to celebrate the 70th birthday the New China.
