Managing Director – China Mr Chan Siu Hung joins the Hong Kong engineer delegation to attend the celebrations for PRC’s 70th founding anniversary in Beijing

On 27 September 2019, Managing Director – China of CLP Holdings Limited Mr Chan Siu Hung joined the Hong Kong engineer delegation to visit Beijing and attend related celebrations for the 70th founding anniversary of the PRC. This was one of the special arrangements made by the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR for the National Day, and the delegation comprised more than 20 outstanding engineers from all industries of Hong Kong.

During their stay in Beijing, the delegation visited the Military Museum of the Chinese People’s Revolution to learn about China’s military development history, modern military strength and China’s strategy of building a strong country and armed force. They paid a visit to the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and made in-depth exchange with engineering experts in the mainland. They also visited China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), attended meetings with national professional societies, and were received by the central government leaders.

On 28 September, Mr Chan was invited to attend the National day Dinner for Overseas Chinese in the Great Hall of the People.
