CSG Chairman Mr Meng Zhenping visits CLP

On 11 September 2019, a delegation led by Mr Meng Zhenping, Chairman of China Southern Power Grid (CSG) visited Hong Kong and the Black Point Power Station, and also met with the CLP senior management representatives including Managing Director – China of CLP Holdings Limited Mr Chan Siu Hung and Managing Director – CLP Power Mr Chiang Tung Keung.

The delegation paid a visit to the Castle Peak Power Station on the business developments of CLP Group and Castle Peak Power Station. The delegation also visited the Black Point Power Station to learn about the construction updates of its new gas-fired generating units.

Both parties agreed that CLP and CSG had developed a close and practical partnership in terms of power supply, technology innovation, and employee training for years, and the two were expected to seize the good opportunities brought by the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the “Belt and Road” Initiative, deepen cooperation in all fields, join hands in hands to address challenges, and explore new cooperation opportunities.
